The freedom of a dedicated server without the price tag.

If you've outgrown Shared Hosting, a Virtual Dedicated Server (also known as a Virtual Private Server) is a cost-effective alternative to a dedicated server.

You get full control over this virtual server. Prefer Debian to CentOS? No problem. Have a love affair with lighttpd? Install it instead of Apache! A VDS not only makes it possible - but economical, if your traffic needs don't require the resources of a full dedicated server.

Install exactly what you need.

When you buy a VDS, you get an operating system, a root login, and free reign to install the services that you need. So if you want to put together a streamlined Rails server for your new web app - or just really like lighttpd – give a VDS a go.

Effective Splitting of Resources

In traditional Shared Hosting, accounts are contained in a folder on the server, sharing CPU and RAM with other websites. In a VDS, virtual machines are created using Xen to completely partition off websites from each other, eliminating all of the disadvantages of shared hosting while retaining its cost effectiveness.

High end hardware.

Our servers utilize multi-core AMD Opterons, Tyan mainboards, High quality ECC server memory and hardware hot-swap RAID10 storage. The servers are on dual redundant network links to improve guaranteed uptime.
